Winter Evening in Liverpool

Looking to book a last-minute Christmas night out with friends? Going for a drink with the family but can’t decide where? Don’t worry as we’ve got the list just for you.

As autumn turns into winter Liverpool’s world-famous nightlife comes into its own, making it the number-one destination for your Christmas nights out.

The Albert Dock

An evening spent at the Albert Dock will never disappoint but as the temperature drops and the festive season nears, there really is no better place to take a walk and take in the beautiful sights of the Albert Dock.

By day we usually like to visit the Tate with an indulgent Croissant and a hot chocolate from Rough Hand Made but as day turns into night the Albert Dock becomes the best place to bar hop with the likes of ’The Long Shot’ and ‘The One O’Clock Gun’, if you’re looking for something to eat then you have to try Madre which offers some of the most mouthwateringly brilliant Mexican food you can find, our go-to dish has to be the Chorizo verde y queso for mains and a Margarita to sip.

Bar Hütte

Finished with your Christmas shopping for the day? Ready to settle down for some drinks and food? Then you’re in luck! Whatever sort of night you had planned then Bar Hütte is sure to have something for you with cosy karaoke Hüttes and party lodges among their offering this month.

We’d personally recommend taking a look at their Party Lodge which offers groups of 10-20 people the chance to ‘belt out those ballads, rock those classics and show off your signature moves’ for 1 hour, 50 mins.

But, if you’re as indecisive as we can sometimes be then simply sit back and enjoy a festive sip or two of the delicious drinks on offer, our personal favourite is the Gluhwein Mulled Wine which is a delicious mix of Mulled wine, cinnamon, cloves, orange and lemon flavours. They also offer a delicious array of pizzas.

Bar Hütte is the place to be in Liverpool this festive season.

The Vines

An evening spent at the Vines is always an evening well spent, but as the wintry weather hits, the Vines’ fireplaces are lit making it what feels like the cosiest place on the planet.

Right in the heart of the city, the Vines is the perfect place for those after-work drinks or that much-needed catch-up with friends as you enjoy some toasty respite from the freezing conditions outside.

Have we mentioned their drinks yet? Well, where to start, whether cocktails are your thing or you’re more of a lager drinker then the Vines has you covered. Our favourite is the ‘Halfpenny’ which combines Jameson’s orange, Cherry liqueur, Orgeat, Lemon and foamer to make a delicious cocktail. But if you’re looking for a lager then Neck Oil would definitely be our pick of the bunch.

Baltic Market

If you’re visiting Liverpool at any time of year then the Baltic Market is a must-visit, but with the festive months upon us it is absolutely essential that you take a trip to the Baltic Market.

The Market holds host to several traders serving up some of the best food and drinks the city has to offer with cuisines from all over the world. The Baltic Market has gained a reputation for throwing the best events whatever the season with OctoberFest last month being a huge hit.

But there’s too much choice! We hear you and don’t worry everyone has that problem when they first step foot in the Baltic Market. Here’s how we think you should do it; first things first head for a drink at Press Bro’s where they’ll rustle up one of their delicious Espresso Martini’s, then you have to head to Richie’s for ‘The Festive Fella’ which has all your Roast Dinner favourites inside a delicious burger and if you’ve got room for dessert, last but certainly not least you have to try Midnight Delivery.

PINS Social Club

If you’ve not been blessed by the excellence that is PINS Social Club yet, then you really have been missing out, but fear not because they’re bringing all of the Christmas vibes this year.

The festive mood is already in full flow at PINS with their ‘Christmas Vacation’ event already underway where they’ll be hosting three floors of wintry drinks, games, karaoke and food making sure that everyone gets their fill of festive cheer before the big day next month.

Can I book? We hear you ask and the simple answer is yes and we definitely recommend that you do as PINS is busy all year round. But be careful to book for the right venue as PINS has different booking systems for each part of their premises.

Address: 45 – 61 Duke St, Liverpool

Epic Apartments

Thinking of making a weekend out of your trip to Liverpool? If you’re planning to spend a weekend in the city this festive period then you should take a look at what Epic Apartments has to offer. They have a variety of room sizes with something for pretty much any party size, making it the perfect place to stay with friends. If that wasn’t enough to tempt you then you’ll also be just seconds away from some of the city’s most loved restaurants and bars, the Red Lion for a pint (or two) and il Forno for a hearty Italian meal would be our picks.
